Meet the team: Caitlin

25 May

Here at Pitfield London, we LOVE our customers. We want you to love us too so we thought we’d bring you a new ‘Meet the team’ feature for a humorous insight into our lives…

First up – Assistant Manager, Caitlin Macrae, is a Sagittarius who was born in Hertfordshire and studied at the University of Plymouth. Caitlin loves the colour green, photography (she’s a BA Photography graduate and still an avid snapper) and likes chilling out to old soul music – hence the great tunes always playing in store! Her role involves helping customers buy our lovely, quirky items but she sometimes hates the fact she gets a sneak peak of everything as she just wants to buy things all of the time. We better watch out because her future goal is to open her very own curiosity shop and café! Want a giggle? Caitlin’s most embarrassing moment at Pitfield London was falling over a chair at the private view of our Nic Parnell exhibition! Oops.

Jade Jagger jewellery

17 May

Pitfield London‘s new exhibition is now open. You’ve admired the work of Klaus Haapaniemi and Nic Parnell,  now we bring you an installation in collaboration with Jade Jagger.

Think surrealist vinyl blown-up jewellery imagery, metallic furniture, vintage cabinets and neon logos! Her jewellery toys with Indian references, bold jewel tones and the creative limbo between old and new. The Jade Jagger at Pitfield London pop-up shop is with us for a limited time only…

Vasarely Print – Medium, £160 (more prints available in store)

‘The art of tomorrow will be a collective treasure or it will not be art at all’ Victor Vasarely, 1953

Widely regarded as the father of Op art, Victor Vasarely’s optical images became part of popular culture and had a deep impact on concepts in fashion, technology and architecture. This framed 60s print is available from Pitfield London, along with another design in vibrant, warm tones. Also pictured is our Gyrofleur wallpaper, designed in-house (available for £140 per roll) and a vintage flat-shade lamp (£190).
