You may have noticed there’s an intruder in town! Namely, Pitfield London‘s new robot friend. What shall we call him? He looks like a Bob, or maybe Barry…
The wooden robot and friends make up our brand new window installation, the creation of HOTTOPIXXX. Not content with one ‘x’, they picked three! HOTTOPIXXX loved our store, believing it nearly matched their own level of quirkiness, so contacted us with a view to work on an installation together. We let them take creative control and this is what emerged! The team are made up of 6 designers, illustrators and artists (namely Daniele, Dionne, Els, Fin, Geneva and Josh – see their website for individual links); together they produce large scale installation pieces for events and cool locations – e.g. us! The window installation was unveiled at last week’s private view alongside our current exhibition, ‘Common Birds’ by Louise West.
For a limited time only, admire the wooden window explosion, complete with mushy peas van (why not?) and let us know what you think to our new look over on Facebook and Twitter. Don’t forget to sign up to our newsletter too so you won’t miss out on future exhibitions and events.
Thanks HOTTOPIXXX, we think the window couldn’t get wackier!
We LOVE this monochrome shoot with bright kelly green pops that appeared in the latest Homes and Gardens magazine. Note the Pitfield London ornaments and furniture! Check out the Green Leather Stud Chair and White Cockatoo Statue (customised in the photoshoot) on our website. There’s a parrot available too!
Talking of birds, we have the brilliant Louise West’s ‘Common Birds’ exhibition on show until 20th June. Join us this Thursday 6th June, 6-9pm, for our private view and a tipple or two! RSVP firstname.lastname@example.org – for the invite, see here.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Tweet tweet! The next exhibition to hit our gallery space is the wonderful illustrations of Louise West. A selection of stunning detailed watercolour paintings will be on display, alongside quirky brightly patterned works. ‘Common Birds in memory of Katy Cullis, 1892 – 1976′ opens this Monday 20th May and will run until 20th June.
Collaborative products for you to take home include a wallpaper, designed in-house, colourful bird mugs and a quirky motif tea towel.
For the story behind the exhibition, see our newsletter HERE.
We’ll be celebrating with a private view evening on First Thursday, 6th June, 6-9pm. Look out for your invite coming soon.

Happy April all!
We said goodbye to our first exhibition of 2013, Designersblock x Pitfield London, at the end of last month. The colourful madness that was 30+ designers from Designersblock fused with eclectic Pitfield products has been replaced with an inspiring vignette for the new season! Elsewhere, our window display is showcasing a spring cleaning theme with assorted pieces both practical and pretty!
Back to our exhibition gallery, you’ll find a stunning room set, which amalgamates investment furniture pieces with cheap and cheerful delights from a retro telephone to vintage ornaments and even some wacky taxidermy!
Tell us what you think over on Facebook and Twitter – we also have Pinterest and Instagram!
Next up in our exhibition gallery (from mid May) is a bird cluttered extravaganza! Illustrator Louise West will be displaying her beautiful sketches in an installation dedicated to birdies! Also on show will be a bright wallpaper, designed in-house, with Louise’s work and inexpensive mementos for all to enjoy! Choose a bright and cheery mug with bird illustration or even a lime green tea towel with owl and humorous slogan. Watch this space for all the details and don’t forget to sign up to our newsletter to receive important dates for your diary and invitations to the exhibition launches!
Pitfield London owner Shaun Clarkson throws open the doors to his home this Friday 22nd March. Selected as an inspirational North London home, Livingetc readers and House Tour participants can step into the life of Shaun, taking in his colourful, curiosity packed residence! See here for all the tour information. Funds raised on the tour go to the Crisis charity so it’s a worthy cause as well as great opportunity for design inspiration!

Bonsai Flowers Papercut Card, £4.50
For those that don’t live near the family home, it’s important to be organised early for Mother’s Day, Sunday 10th March. Of course, we have an inspiring collection of gifts and curiosities to treat your mum to, but did you know we sold cards too?
We love this bold and bright illustrated card with gorgeous floral background in creamy pastel yellow. Adorned with twinking sequins, the beautiful flowers stand in an unusual pot and a nearly neon envelope makes sure mum knows which card to open first!
The card is blank inside for your own message so make things as soppy as you like! We have a variety of other cards in store and you can also buy this design on our online shop.
Wow, sometimes it seems like so much is going on around here! In a good way of course… Heard of Fit@Pitfield yet? Our new health and fitness club is held every Saturday at 9am or 11am. Meet at Pitfield London, jog to Shoreditch Park, Hoxton Square or similar with top personal trainer Ben Sharp, engage in a fun and motivating hour’s work out, before returning to our cafe for a delicious reward! A filling and nutritious breakfast of poached egg and avocado with yummy fruit smoothie will keep your energy levels up.
The session costs £20 or sign up for 10 sessions and get a deal at £150.
Call 0207 490 6853 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to book or for more information!
Back in the shop and exhibition, we’re showcasing the brilliant Designersblock x Pitfield London show – open until 21st March, don’t miss the second private view party for phase 2 of the event (invites coming soon), displaying a new window display installation alongside further artists and products added to the gallery space.
Don’t forget, our pop-up is open in Selfridges (lower ground floor Homewares Department) so do check out the eclectic collection there and let us know what you think!
Have a great weekend all!
Pitfield London was heavily involved with Interiors 2013 this year with a pop-up cafe and shop to reflect our store in London, as well as owner Shaun Clarkson designing the champagne bar on site.
A few were scared away from the NEC by Birmingham’s snow but it was great to meet friends, old and new!
We hope you enjoyed the cafe treats and pop-up if you were able to make the show.
Stay in touch!
